Capsicum Dougan Mustard Stems Kale Noodle Soup
1 capsicum (Bell pepper)
1 pack of Dougan
1 pack of Zha Cai (Mustard Stems)
2 frozen kale balls
Noodles 500g or suit
Salt 1 tsp for topping, 1 tsp for noodles, ½ tsp for soup
Sugar ¼ tsp
Oil ¼ tsp
Hot water ¼ cup
Water 1.5 Litres to cook soup, 3 Litres to cook noodles
1. Prepare some hot water before hand.
2. Take capsicum’s seeds out before cut them into strips.
3. Try to cut Dougan strips as thinner as you can.
4. Add little bit oil may already make the wok cooking yummy.
5. Stir the wok contents thoroughly to let ingredients be absorbed.
6. Add salt to noodle pot will make the noodles tasty and blend with soups and veggies.
7. Do not over cook kale in the soup.
8. We may cook the kale soup while cooking the noodles. This will make this noodle soup quick and yummy.
1. Wash the capsicum.
2. Wash the Dougan.
3. Cut capsicum into half and take their seeds off. Then cut them into strips.
4. Cut the Dougan into strips as well.
A: Wok cook toppings.
1. Heat a wok or a large pot.
2. Add ¼ tea spoon of oil.
3. When oil is hot, add capsicum.
4. Add Dougan. Stir them.
5. Add Zha Cai (Mustard stems).
6. Add 1 tea spoon of salt. Give them a stir.
7. Add ¼ tea spoon of sugar.
8. Stir them well.
9. Add ¼ cup of hot water.
10. Cover the wok with lid. Let it cook for 1 minute.
11. After 1 minute, open the lid.
12. Check if they are good. Turn off the heat.
13. Transfer the vegetables into a plate.
14. Topping vegetables are cooked.
B. Cook noodles.
1. Add 3 litres of water into a pot. (noodle pot)
2. Heat the noodle pot and bring it to boil.
3. Add 1 tea spoon of salt into the noodle pot.
4. Once the noodle pot is boiling, add noodles.
5. Stir the noodles.
6. When the pot is boiling again, keep the lid open.
7. Keep it boiling for 4 minutes if it is fresh noodles. For dried noodles, keep boiling for 10 minutes.
8. In 4 minutes (fresh noodles) or 10 minutes (dried noodles). Turn off the heat for noodle pot.
C. Cook the kale soup.
1. Heat another pot with 1.5 litres of water. (soup pot)
2. Add ½ tea spoon of salt.
3. Bring it to boil.
4. Once it is boiling, add kales.
5. Leave the lid open, wait for the pot to boil again.
6. When the pot boil again, turn off the heat.
7. Kale soup is cooked.
D. Serve
1. Transfer noodles into a big bowl.
2. Scoop the kale soup (from procedure C) to the bowl.
3. Put noodle toppings (from procedure B) on top of the noodles.
4. All steps may be completed in less than half an hour.
5. Enjoy.
