Further to the email reply from Minister Clare’s team, the author gave feedback on upcoming federal election.

Dear Minister Clare, Dear Georgina,
Thank you for your email reply regarding the high living cost concerns for domestic and international students.
I am writing to share my feedback regarding the upcoming federal election and my stance on critical issues affecting Australia’s future.
I will not support any political party that prioritizes expanding Australian meat and seafood exports. While export surplus is important, it must be well-managed and structured to align with sustainable and ethical practices. Australia’s economic growth should be driven by advanced technology products and services, which can position us as a global leader in innovation. Relying heavily on slaughterhouse-related products and marine resources not only harms our environment but also undermines our long-term economic potential.
Whatever party forms the government. It is the government’s responsibility to recognize that selling products closely tied to depletion of Australian natural resources is akin to “selling Australia’s sky.” Foreign nations should rely on the resources of their own land to determine their food affordability and environmental capacity. Australia’s natural resources are not for sale, and we must adhere to policies that protect our environment and promote sustainable economic growth.
I urge the government to reconsider its approach to exports and focus on building Australian industries that value innovation, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
Thank you for considering my perspective.
Yours sincerely,
