Tomato Crispy Nuggets Quinoa Brown Rice Bowl

Materials: Serves 2-3 people

10-12 pcs Vegetarian Crispy Nuggets
½ to ¾ Diced Tomato Tin (400g),
1 cup Brown rice (short grain, medium grain or long grain)
¼ cup Quinoa

Ingredients:

½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Oil
2 tsp Sugar
3 cup Water (750ml)

Tips:

1. Defrost the nuggets before fry them.

2. Not using much oil, we may also fry the nuggets.

3. Electrical Rice cooker is essential for this recipe. Pot cooking rice requires an experienced skill level.

4. Do not use hot water to cook rice.

5. Once “start” is pressed, let the rice cooker do its job. Do not open the lid during the cooker’s cooking procedure.

6. You may also dice fresh tomato for this recipe.

7. Start to fry vegan nuggets 10 minutes before rice cooker finish. This way, when the nuggets are properly cooked, the rice cooker finishes rice cooking nearly at the same time.

8. Use medium or large bowl for this rice bowl recipe, allow more space for sauced nuggets on top.

9. Before eating, mix the sauce with quinoa brown rice will make the rice bowl tastier.

Procedure:

1. Defrost crispy nuggets.
2. Put brown rice and quinoa into the rice cooker container.
3. Fill in water. Water level is three times of the rice level.
4. Put the container back to the rice cooker. Choose brown rice option. Press start.
5. It takes rice cooker 1.5 hour to 1 hour 45 minutes to cook brown rice.
6. 10 minutes before rice cooker finish, heat a wok or a flat pan.
7. Add half tea spoon of oil.
8. Place the nuggets in the wok or pan to fry.
9. Reduce heat to let it fry properly with less oil.
10. Flip the nuggets when one side is golden brown.
11. After both sides of the nuggets are fried, add half tin or 3 quarters of diced tomato tin.
12. Add half tea spoon of salt.
13. Add 2 tea spoons of sugar. Stir the materials well.
14. Bring to boil. Let it cook for half minute.
15. After half minute, turn off the heat.
16. Transfer the tomato sauced nuggets into a plate.
17. After rice cooker calls for ready, turn off the power.
18. Take quinoa brown rice out into a medium bowl.
19. Scoop cooked nuggets on top of the rice.
20. Mix the sauce with the rice.
21. Enjoy.
