Normal Salt Semolina Corn Burger
Materials: 4 Burgers
200g of Semolina Coarse,
1 cup of frozen corn kernels,
½ cup of plain flour,
½ cup of glutinous rice flour
Ingredients:
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp oil for patties mix and 1 tsp to cook the patties
¼ tsp sugar
optional: pepper
Tips:
- Soak the semolina and drain it before mixing.
- Defrost frozen corn kernels in advance, or water rinse kernels to defrost.
- When shape the patties, wet hands may prevent the dough stick on hands.
- Cooking patties is easy when we use flat pan and curved spatula.
- When placing ready-made patties in the pan, turn the heat off. Protect your hands from being burned.
- It’s best to have the patties cooked while their surfaces are golden brown.
- Cook carrot pieces together with the patties. Flip their sides.
- Use wavy edge knife to cut buns.
- Warm buns to get the best taste result.

Topping and filling vegetables: carrot, tomato, lettuce
Sauce: BBQ sauce
Procedure:
- Defrost frozen corn kernels in advance or rinse them in water to defrost.
- Soak Semolina Coarse for 10 minutes.
- Wash the carrot, tomato and cos lettuce.
- Peel of carrot skin and cut it into pieces.
- Slice tomato into pieces.
- Dry cos lettuce with paper towel.
- Drain soaked semolina. Put it in a big bowl.
- Mix semolina with corn kernels, 1 tea spoon of salt, a little bit of sugar (1/4 tsp), bit of oil (1/4 tsp), half cup of plain flour, and ¼ cup of glutinous flour (half of the ½ cup recipe).
- Mix all the materials and ingredients together.
- Add the rest of glutinous rice flour.
- Make sure the dough is fully mixed and set. Divide it into 4 equal parts.
- Heat a flat pan. Add 1 tea spoon of oil.
- Make patties from the dough. Make them into a ball then press down to be patties.
- Turn off the heat when placing the patties in the pan. Turn the heat back on after all of them are in the pan.
- Reduce heat in 2 minutes. Cook the patties well in the pan. Flip sides.
- After flipping patties, cook carrot pieces in the pan together with the patties. Flip carrots as well.
- Turn off the heat when patties and carrots are cooked.
- Spread apple sauce on the bread. Make burgers with bread buns, tomato, lettuce, cooked patties and carrots. Use BBQ sauce for dressing.
